The candidates of Vice Presidential in Election 2009

Towards the post-election of president 2009 and after legislative elections of 9 April 2009, many things to be done by party leaders, which attention is to find the vice presidential.

A number of large parties such as president candidates Susilo Bambang Yudoyono (SBY) from the Democratic Party and Megawati from PDI-Perjuangan keep on hard work to find a candidate or a loop that can to accompany to forward in general election of president on next June. But it seems a number of parties who have a significant voice in the legislative election, now tend to move closer to SBY. Let’s see PAN, PKS and Golkar that until now 21/04/09 has not been confirmed yet who will they support to be president or vice presidential candidate.

SBY at this time seems to be excellent candidates of president. Clear performance, prestige, and its ability to build international relationships and do not forget the people in regard ketch programs such as BLT and BOS appear to be able to captivate people of Indonesia. This is evident from the results of the legislative election April 9, recently that Democratic Party still leads vote acquisition.

So how about the Megawati? What is the name that will be developed to accompany her as vice president? It appears that Megawati is very busy to dealings with this one. From one of the private television said a number of names already circulating as to forward as vice president to accompany Megawati. However, secretary general PDI Perjuangan Pramono Anung still silent on this matter, according to him the final decision will be there after national conference end of this week.

The other side Megawati currently busy with a list of issues voters remains (DPT), which according to her the election this time is very bad. Even her side is threaten will not join in general election if general election committee (KPU) not able to resolve this problem

Yes, safely work KPU.

Opec keeps oil output unchanged

Oil ministers from the 12 Opec countries meeting in the Austrian capital Vienna have decided to keep oil production at current levels.

Some ministers had pressed for a cut in production, but others were believed to favour enforcing previous cuts before any new measures were considered.

With demand for oil predicted to fall this year, Opec is keen to avoid another decline in the price of oil.

Prices have averaged $40 a barrel in 2009 compared with $100 last year.

According to Opec figures, the 12 member states have so far delivered only around 80% of the 4.2 million barrels per day in cuts that have been agreed since September last year. The ministers pledged to comply more strictly with the cuts.

Another meeting will be held on 28 May to assess whether further cuts in production will be necessary.

Algeria, Venezuela and Qatar, had said that oil output should be cut further. Oil prices have fallen from a record high of more than $147 a barrel in July and currently trade around $46 as the global downturn has hit demand for oil and oil-based products.

Russia, which vies with Saudi Arabia as the world's largest oil producer, sent Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin to Vienna to observe proceedings and said in future it planned to send a permanent observer to Opec. However, it said it was not inclined to join the organisation.
